The Lee County Librarians pulled out all the stops for Halloween. Director Dawn is a CONVINCING wicked witch, Librarian Brenda is a great cowardly lion, Librarian Elizabeth is a rather pudgy scarecrow and Librarian Missy is the cutest Dorthy this side of Judy Garland. We will be posting the pictures of our costume party later today. Stay tuned blogger buddies!

Whew, Cotton Festival is over

Last weekend the community celebrated the 30th Annual Cotton Festival Weekend. What a great weekend. The weather was perfect and all the events were well planned and well received. Librarian Brenda participated in the Arts and Crafts pavilion. Librarian Missy held a story time at the old Library Yard. Librarian Elizabeth stage managed the continous music acts. The library loves to partner with the Lee County Chamber of Commerce and salutes them for their tremendous achievment.

Well the piece that Trey Paul taped yesterday was on air last night. Way to go Trey - you did an exquisite job of editing and we appreicate all your hard work. Thanks for remembering us and come back soon!!

It keeps getting better and better.........

What a suprising Monday morning we had here at the 'ol Lee County Library. Director Dawn called your faithful blogette this morning and told me that WIS TV10 was coming in to do a feature on us. Whoo-hooo! Channel 10 is probably one of the most watched stations in the state, so we are talking MAJOR coverage here. Special thanks to Trey Paul, reporter and videographer for remembering us. We met Trey acouple of weeks ago when he was in town for another story. Again, we dragged him off the street and he was so impressed he came back!!! Yea for us, yea for WIS. Thanks Trey

Whoo - hooo free publicity......

Well blog buddies, the Lee County Library has gone national, international and now we are REGIONAL!!!! Mr. Mola Lenghi, reporter for News Channel 15. WPDE, came in today and taped a segment for the 6:00PM newscast here at our library. What a treat!! We were all sooo excited. Thanks to Mola for remembering us. We met him on Main Street doing another story awhile ago and brought (dragged) him in to the Library. He Promised he would do a feature on us and he DID! Thanks Mola.

Halloween Raffle

We are raffling off this georgeous basket. All proceeds will help fund The Summer Reading Program. Tickets are $1.00. Drawing will be held at our annual Halloween Costume party. Director Dawn ALWAYS finds the good stuff, so this will be full of treats!!!
