We received a great note from the Salkehatchie Service group thanking us for the drop in we hosted.

We were glad to do it - we also had a great time with those outstanding young volunteers. This is the second year we have hosted them at the library after hours - hmmmmm, think we have a tradition!!??

Musician Audrey Jones visited the Bishopville Opera House today to give a presentation to our summer readers. She showed the different families of musical instruments and then let the children make and play their own instruments. We had the Opera House ROCKIN'!!! The percussion instruments were especially popular. Hmmmm, why are we NOT surprised.

What do you get when you add 350 mentos to 64 2 liter bottles of Diet Coke??? Lotso giggles and grins from the Summer Readers and two very damp librarians!!! What a hoot. We had a ball this morning at the "Old Library Yard" and entertained our Summer Readers.
